Coaching Important?

We understand that some young people naturally love all forms of sport and physical activity, and that’s great! We also understand that some young people take a little more encouragement to get involved and find their comfort zone when it comes to sport and being active, and that’s great too! Whether your motivations are social, psychological or making it as a professional, we’ve got the perfect session for you! Our friendly, enthusiastic and fun approach to coaching and athletic development ensures that all levels of athlete and all personality types can benefit and get the most from our sessions.

Experiences of physical activity and sport that children have at an early age can shape their approach to maintaining a healthy, active lifestyle as they get older. Developing strong motor skills and physical competence enables us to build a child’s confidence to a level which will more than likely lead to the continuance of participation in physical activity or sport in later life. Positive physical activity will set the stage for future healthy, active lifestyles and this is of paramount importance to us.

At GoActiv we are passionate about health, fitness and wellbeing and we believe the earlier we introduce children to the values and importance of a healthy, active lifestyle, the better. Experiences of physical activity and sport that children have at an early age can shape their approach to maintaining a healthy, active lifestyle as they get older.

WHAT WE DO?

Whether we are developing skills and knowledge in a specific sport, fine tuning an elite Athlete’s performance, improving general movement skills and fitness, or working on transferrable skills, attitudes and tactics, we can work with individual Athletes, small groups or whole teams of young people to ensure they get the development they are looking for through sessions tailored to their individual needs and requirements. We use a number of facilities and venues in and around Carlisle as well as our own brand new training facility making us accessible to a wide community, we can even come to you!

Sports Specific Sessions

Coaching based around a specific sport tailored individually for the development of each player, athlete or participant and their ability level, we can even work with your whole sports team to help lay the foundations or to complement and enhance the building blocks already in place. Pricing is dependent upon your tailored coaching package or chosen sessions, please contact us for more information or to check if we deliver these sessions in your chosen sport.

FITNESS AND athletic Conditioning Sessions

We understand the different fundamental and technical demands on all types of athletes. The importance of the general fitness, physical condition, their mental wellbeing, mental alertness and decision making are never underestimated at GoActiv Sport and we believe that working on these areas is a fantastic way to benefit the health, performance and mindset of any Athlete, Group or Team.

For the advanced and elite Athletes, we delve deeper into the fundamental and technical aspects of performance going much further than general coaching and fitness work to ensure athletic development even at the top of your game!

SPORTS CAMPS, WORKSHOPS & EVENTS

Camps, workshops and one off events are a great way to broaden interest and develop knowledge in both familiar and new sports.

Our friendly, enthusiastic and fun approach makes the development of skills accessible to all ability levels, whilst encouraging fun at all times. A great way to make new friends, boost confidence and social development and embed important life skills such as teamwork, sportsmanship, fair play and much more.

  • We will be an active role model for children. We love to share our  passion for health and fitness, we will join in with the activities they  are doing and offer them plenty of opportunity to ask question, better their understanding and express their personality.
  • We will be positive coaches and show encouragement for  children’s efforts.
  • We will be aware of the inactive child and encourage them to active play.
  • The nature of a growing child and the early stages of development  will be a central consideration when planning and implementing any coaching programme.
